Raquel Leviss admits to Page Six that she chose Tom Schwartz’s side during his divorce because she was “never close” with his ex-wife, Katie Maloney.
“I knew I would have to pick a lane, but Katie and I were never close,” the “Vanderpump Rules” star, 28, explains during an upcoming episode of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
“She was never, like, super warm and welcoming to me,” Leviss continues. “And I was open to building a friendship with her, but if I’m choosing sides, I choose Schwartz.”

Leviss’ BFF and co-star Scheana Shay — who’s had a rocky relationship with Maloney, 36, over the years — adds that the two women “were never friends.” She also said that the “You’re Going to Love Me” podcast host is only welcoming to others when “it’s convenient for her.”
During Wednesday’s episode of the hit Bravo show, Maloney confessed that she feared her friends would take Schwartz’s side if their divorce ever came to that.
“I mean, Schwartz is a lovable, nice, easy-going guy, you know. He’s an easy person to hang out with. He’s fun. He’s light. He’s got good energy. Can’t say the same for her,” Shay tells us, subtly shading Maloney.
Leviss also teases that Maloney turns “passive-aggressive” after confessing that she had asked Schwartz, 40, to make out with her at a concert. At the time, Schwartz turned down the kiss upon seeing there were cameras still filming.
“I did that in a joking way a little bit, although, obviously I was down to make out with him,” Leviss tells us, with Shay adding that Schwartz was game but “didn’t want to be caught.”
Schwartz eventually threw caution to the wind and made out with Leviss several times during Shay’s wedding weekend last August.
And despite Shay claiming that Maloney told her to set up Schwartz and Leviss, their brief fling seemingly doesn’t sit well with her — as she and Leviss have feuded several times on social media.
Schwartz and Maloney finalized their in October 2022 after initially announcing they were going their separate ways the previous March. The couple was together for almost 12 years but married for five.
Despite their brief fling, Leviss and Schwartz remain just friends, while Maloney told Page Six at BravoCon in October that she’s dating a 25-year-old.
“Vanderpump Rules” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
