Rockstar Games Sells 155 Million Units Of GTA V Worldwide

Grand Theft Auto V proves its supremacy and continues to dominate the sales charts, moving 5 million copies in a quarter. Thanks to the free Epic Games Store promo they recently held, they sold 5 million copies. Take-Two Interactive has revealed on the second fiscal quarter, the third calendar quarter ending on September 30. This figure increased by 3% from last year’s figure when the lockdown has sharply increased gaming sales.

The sales of the Grand Theft Auto 5 are still expected to grow in the future since the game is still scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S in March of the following year. The game was supposed to be launched in November of this year; however, Rockstar has postponed the release and delayed the game for 2022. They also plan to release a standalone version of GTA Online, and it will be free for all the PS Plus subscribers on the PS5 for the first three months.

Rockstar is, a subsidiary of Take-Two that manages these games, also revealed their sales number for the Red Dead Redemption 2, and the game has sold over 39 million copies to date. The Red Dead Redemption continues to be triumphant because this makes the entire series sell about 62 million copies in the global market, which means the original has sold about 23 million units.

For the NBA 2k series, however, Take-Two has stated that more people have played the NBA 2k22 in the first month of its release than any other game in the series. The game has currently sold about 5 million copies. These figures are looking good for the company; however, Take-Two also announced that 2k’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns had been delayed indefinitely, meaning that they have not decided when to release the game and can be released at any point in the future.
