Escape the tape! How get your hands out of duct tape by slamming, rubbing and wiggling

In his first video, Coach Duza showed viewers how they could escape duct tape.

Using industrial strength tape, the self defense expert had his hands taped before showing various different methods of breaking out of the binds.

He begins by noting that you ‘can’t be afraid.’

‘You can’t be afraid. You’ve got to commit. If you knew you were going to die, so what, you have got to do this.’

Coach Duza then says the first method is to slam it into your chest.

He noted that you should slam your hands into your chest ‘super hard, even if it takes you multiple tries.’

After he pushed his hands into his chest and was released from the binds, he went on to detail version number two.

He noted that version two saw users doing a ‘friction saw.’

‘You’re just going to rub until the duct tape rips,’ he explained.

Coach Duza added that if users had concrete next to them, they could rub the duct tape on it and he noted the tape would ‘rip instantly.’

And for his third method he showed users how to get out of being duct taped behind the back.

‘You just want to wiggle your hands enough to where the tape starts to get caught up on its self.

‘You want to keep moving it, keep moving it until it doesn’t stick anymore,’ he said before adding that then you can just ‘slide’ your hand out.

Get out those cable ties with a little help from your shoelaces!

Similarly to getting out of duct tape binds, you will slam your hands itno your chest to get out of zip ties

Loop one shoelace inside your hands and get the end of the string and tie it to your other shoe. Next, pedal your feet like you are ‘pedaling a bicycle’

His next video detailed how users could get out of both their hands and feet being zip tied together.

‘Let me show you how to get out of zip ties in case you are ever abducted,’ he said.

The first step is to make your zip ties tighter. He noted you could do this with your teeth or your hands, depending on where you are cable tied.

Then, similarly to getting out of duct tape, you will slam your hands into your chest.

Coach Duza noted that when doing this you should ‘make sure your elbows go through and don’t stop,’ he added that this force and motion will the zip ties and set you free.

If you are unable to remove the binds by slamming your hands into your chest, he revealed you can escape with some help of your shoelaces.

If your feet are tied he said to make the zip ties tighter and kick your feet out

First, you will take your shoelaces off, he noted that you only need one lace to come all the way out.

Then, loop one shoelace inside your hands and get the end of the string and tie it to your other shoe.

Next, pedal your feet like you are ‘pedaling a bicycle.’

He explained that in just two strides you will be free.

Next, he showed his followers to get out of cable ties around their feet.

He explained that you will once again make the zip ties as tight as possible, before stomping and then kicking your feet out.

Save yourself from a life-threatening situation when entering an Uber, Taxi or Lyft by checking the child lock control!

He explained that when opening the door of a car you should look for the control that tells you whether or not child lock is on

‘Here’s your tip to stay safe everybody, do not get in any rideshare, Uber, Lyft, or whatever without noticing this,’ he said before having the camera zoom in on the child lock control on the door.

He explained that when opening the door of a car you should look for the control that tells you whether or not child lock is on.

Coach Duza noted that if the lock is down that means the car is locked and ‘you can not escape, you are trapped in the vehicle.’

‘So when you get in that rideshare, make sure that it is up so that way you know that this door can open,’ he said.

He then explained that if you don’t check the lock before getting into the car, then you will have ‘to fight’ your way out of the situation.

Stop intruders from getting in! Barricade the door with a belt

‘You can take a belt, any type of cord or strap and wrap [the belt] around [the door closer] and make it as tight as you can,’ he explained

In his next video, he detailed how you can buy yourself more time by barricading the door with a belt.

‘Here’s another tip to help you stay safe,’ he said before explaining that this method could even be used in an ‘active shooter scenario.’

‘[If you’re in] an active shooter scenario and you want to barricade the door to keep the bad guys out,’ he said before showing users how to use a belt or cord to help avoid a threat.

He explained that many doors in offices or schools don’t have deadbolts, but they do have door closers, which he noted are what you will tie a ‘belt, cord, or strap’ around.

‘You can take a belt, any type of cord or strap and wrap [the belt] around [the door closer] and make it as tight as you can,’ he explained.

Coach Duza added that if someone was to try to get inside, the door will not open far because of the belt.

‘[It’s] a nice deterrent to just slow a bad guy down,’ he added.

Defeat any attacker – no matter their size – by jamming your finger in their eye

Coach Duza then said that if you are being attacked, you should ‘jam your whole thumb or your fingers and squish that attacker’s eyeball’

Next up, the self defense gave expert shared the ‘number one’ thing you could do if you are ever attacked.

‘This is the best number one self defense tip you can do if you’re ever attacked, even if you have no MMA, martial arts, or self defense training,’ he explained.

Coach Duza then said that if you are being attacked, you should ‘jam your whole thumb or your fingers and squish that attacker’s eyeball.’

He then explained that when in pain from his eye and unable to see, ‘crime’ will be the ‘last thing on his mind.’

The self defense expert added that this is a great tip because it leaves the attacker in ‘crazy pain, takes him out of the fight, and cops can find him easily in the hospital.’

He then explained that attackers ‘can recover from any other shot’ in ’20 to 30 seconds,’ but when you ‘hurt the bad guys so much, he is panic mode’ and you can buy yourself time to run away.

Fight off an attacker in a car by choking them out

Coach Duza said that you will reach across the attacker, grab his seatbelt, and firmly pull the slack and choke him out

For the next method, he revealed you should cut across the left side and grab the seatbelt, loop it with your other hand, and lock it in your hands

Following his child lock video, the self defense expert shared some tips on how to fight your way out of a car when you are trapped inside.

He explained that the first method is used when the driver or attacker is wearing a seatbelt.

Coach Duza added that you will reach across the attacker, grab his seatbelt, and firmly pull the slack.

Then, wrap the slack around his neck and pull back to choke him while you push your knees into the chair for more force.

For the next method, he revealed you should cut across the left side and grab the seatbelt, loop it with your other hand, and lock it in your hands.

Once you have the seatbelt in one hand, pull it back.

Then, the self defense expert offered up another way to choke out an attacker if they aren’t wearing their seatbelt

For the last method, he said you will once come across and begin to choke him while resting your hand that is choking him on your head

And with your one free hand, grab the attackers hand and trap it behind the seat, while squeezing his arm and the seatbelt that is wrapped around his neck to choke him out.

Then, the self defense expert offered up another way to choke out an attacker if they aren’t wearing their seatbelt.

He noted that you will come around on his right side and choke him will locking both your hands together.

Coach Duza noted that you want to ‘pull back and lift up’ to ‘roll his windpipe’ and choke him out.
