Social media users were left in shock at the brazen price inflation.

One person said: "This is truly shocking unbelievable."

While another added: " The essentials range are struggling to get items in stock and people like this make matters worse."

A spokesman for Asda said the supermarket giant was "aware" of the reselling.

He said: “The Just Essentials range is exclusive to Asda, and was recently introduced to help families during the cost of living crisis.

"We are aware of this example of reselling and would encourage customers to only buy these products directly from Asda to ensure they are receiving the best in quality and value.’’

Southern Rail which runs the train station said it "fully understands the community's concerns and will speak to the tenant."

It comes after The Sun revealed Asda has placed a limit on the number of items shoppers can buy from its budget brand.

customers can buy no more than three of the same item from the Just Essentials range, both online and in store.

But there is no limit on the overall number of items you can buy.

Asda said it has been forced to put the restrictions in place because the range has been so popular.
