A single woman has shared the reasons why she has turned to business networking site LinkedIn to find her soulmate.
Candice, who lives in Singapore, is challenging herself to hit one dating app every week for 10 weeks on her quest to find an ‘A-grade’ partner and is documenting her journey online.
The 37-year-old has already tried Bumble, Hinge and Tinder to no avail so is now turning her attention to LinkedIn as she can filter by education level, profession and country.
Candice got the idea to use the professional social media platform to find a date after a friend wanted to set her up with a ‘very attractive’ man via LinkedIn.
She said she spent the week ‘crawling’ the site to find potential partners and hinted that she had found a date.

‘I’m looking for A-grade men and Linkedin has A-grade filters! It’s all part of my effort to try 10 apps in 10 weeks and make dating in Singapore a little more fun!’ Candice captioned a TikTok video.
She said can filter firstly by education adding she particularly keen on men who have an MBA and secondly by industry as she’s looking for people work as a doctor, lawyer or ‘finance bro’ and thirdly by country.
‘Unfortunately I’m unable to filter by height but at least there are very good photos that I can kind of do some height analysis on,’ she added as her ideal partner is 180cm or over.
Candice was inspired to try LinkedIn as a way to meet men by a friend.
‘My whole initiative to try 10 different dating apps in 10 weeks is now moving into the real world because my friend messaged me and said, ‘Hey, I saw your videos, how about I set you up with this guy?’,’ she explained.

‘She sent me his LinkedIn profile and he looks very attractive so, yes Sophie, do your thing.’
It’s not clear from Candice’s videos if she did manage to set up a date with someone she met on LinkedIn but she is talking to a few men.
She has also started ‘matchmaking’ by setting up the people she’s met on dates with her friends.
The singleton’s clips have racked up more than 1million views sparked chatter in the comments with some thinking the approach was ‘smart’ and ‘genius’ whereas others had their hesitations.

‘The thing is, on LinkedIn they only have one perfectly-edited head shot. I need a full posture picture for my evaluation,’ one woman pointed out.
‘I checked my then-boyfriend’s LinkedIn page after we met through Tinder. We are married now,’ another said.
‘How do you know if they are married or not?’ a third asked.
‘Great idea, I should’ve tried it from long time ago,’ a fourth added.
Many were curious bout how to strike up a romantic conversation with someone on LinkedIn.
‘But how do you take it from there though. Like how do you get in touch and move it to dating?’ someone asked.
‘But do you talk to them? What is your method?’ a second also wondered.
‘Try to use their info on LinkedIn to find other social media. If you find their Instagram just start following and liking their stories, making small talk,’ one user suggested.
