Spoilers: Lying Glen cornered as Kiri’s mum comes to town in Neighbours

Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) have joined forces and are onto Glen (Richard Huggett) in Neighbours, so now he is in full distraction mode to keep his secret a secret.

As Chloe and Nic get dangerously close to the truth that he’s Kiri’s father, he becomes desperate and tries to divert attention by awkwardly confessing his love for Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) in a bid to explain his strange behaviour. Glen is stunned to discover that Chloe falls for it hook, line, and sinker, to the point that she relays the message directly to Terese. In other words, it worked a little too well, and Glen now has some damage control do to.

Terese confronts Glen with this surprising information and gently tells him she doesn’t feel the same. Backed into a corner, he confesses what really happened – it was a lie to save his skin. They both outwardly breathe a sigh of relief, but is the inside telling a different story?

Well, whatever they’re feelings are, their relief is short lived.

Who’s about to show up in town? Kiri’s (Gemma Bird Matheson) mum – the one person who could absolutely blow Glen’s secret wide open if she clocks him. She shows up at the vineyard to surprise Kiri, who is thrilled and keen to introduce her mum to her colleagues.

Glen somehow escapes the first round of possible discovery, but when Kiri invites him to dinner to meet her mum, he’s forced to work up a lie to get out of it. Kiri is oblivious, but hyper-aware Nic cottons on to his weird behaviour and catches him out.

She’s rubbing her hands with glee as now she feels vindicated, she’s on a mission to get full proof.

And Glen is about to trigger someone else’s suspicions – Paul’s (Stefan Dennis). He notices Glen and Terese looking like they’re a bit more than friends and has words with his brother, but he quickly picks up on the fact Glen isn’t telling the full truth. He decides to join forces with Nic and seek out what Glen is trying to hide. Is Glen’s number up?

Scenes air from Monday April 25 on Channel 5.
