STAR Trek: Picard fans, rejoice: the captain is back for a third and final season, and he'll be joined by lots of familiar faces.

Read on to find out how to watch Picard Series 3 online for free.

The iconic Starfleet captain was reunited with many old colleagues from 'The Next Generation' in Season 2 of Picard, and in Season 3, we'll get to see even more of the iconic characters from the classic Eighties show.

What makes the new season of Picard extra-poignant is that it will be the last. And we have a feeling this will truly be the last appearance the 82-year-old Stewart makes in the Star Trek franchise.

The first episode of Picard: Season 3 will air on Friday 17 March 2023, and then drop on a weekly basis after that.

If you want to know where to watch Star Trek: Picard Series 3 online, don't worry: we will make it so.

And better still, we'll tell you how you can potentially watch it for free.

What is Star Trek: Picard about?

In the first season of Picard, we saw the retired captain languish in retirement in his French vineyard – before an unexpected turn of events saw him set out an interstellar mission.

In the second season of the show, the Starfleet legend came face-to-face again with an old and deadly nemesis, the mischievous and omnipotent being known as Q.

Details are vague right now, but we know in the new season of the programme, Picard will be reunited with many of his old crewmates from the Enterprise-D and -E, and he'll be facing an AI foe known as Professor Moriarty.

Who is in Star Trek: Picard?

If it needed to be said, Sir Patrick Stewart plays Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Alongside him, many familiar characters from Seasons 1 and 2 are making a comeback, including Michelle Hurd as ex-Starfleet Raffi Musiker and Jeri Ryan as ex-Borg Seven of Nine.

But what makes the latest series of Picard extra-exciting is the return of many crew members from the days of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', including Michael Dorn as Klingon Work, Levar Burton as engineer Geordi LaForge, Jonathan Frakes as Picard's old First Officer Will Riker, Gates McFadden as Dr Beverley Crusher and Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi.

In other words, all Trekkies out there will be spinning with excitement.

How many episodes does it have?

There will be 10 episodes in Series 3 of Picard, much like the first twos seasons.

They'll be aired on a weekly basis (sorry, no binge-watching, Trek fans).
