Tesco slashes school uniform prices in massive sale – and prices start at £1.50

TESCO has launched a huge uniform sale, with up to 50% off school essentials.

Polo shirts, jumpers and trousers are half price in the sale – and prices start at just £1.50.

If you haven't stocked up on enough back to school essentials yet, Tesco's sale could be a good option to pick up some more supplies.

Tesco's clothing brand F&F isn't available online so you'll have to head into your local store to snap up the bargain buys.

The supermarket confirmed that the discount is nationwide, but school uniform isn't sold at all Tesco stores.

You can search for your nearest Tesco branch online, and use the filter tool to view stores that stock F&F.

Grey slim fit shorts have been reduced from £10 to £5, and a two pack of blue shirts are now £2.50, instead of £5.

Shoppers can get a two red polo shirts for £1.50 – down from £3.

A two-pack of blue boys trousers used to be £11 but have been discounted to £5.50.

You could also pick up a double pack of black girls cardigans for £4, down from the original £8 price tag.

Jumpers have been reduced in the sale, a two pack was previously £10 but will now cost you just £5.

A white sports t-shirt is in the sale for £2, down from £4.

You should compare prices with other retailers before parting with your cash, to make sure that you're getting the best value for money.

We checked online and couldn't find any cheaper options for school uniforms among Tesco's supermarket competitors at the time of writing.

However, some items could be cheaper elsewhere.

Sainsbury's uniform prices start at £1.75 for a gingham skirt but polo shirts are £3.50.

Morrisons is also selling school uniforms online, with polo shirts on sale for £2.50.

Aldi launched the UK's cheapest school uniform earlier this year, costing just £4.50 for a full outfit.

Some councils offer extra funding to cover uniform costs, with grants of up to £150 available.

Parents could save up to £2,455 in back to school costs by applying for grants and book swaps.
