'The Bachelorette': Another Bachelor Nation Alum Is Joining the Show, Says Things Get 'Heated' Between Contestants

Katie Thurston is well on her way to handing out her final rose on The Bachelorette. But last week, she may have thrown a wrench in her season by allowing Blake Moynes to join the show. Of course, the rest of the men will not be happy about a new man joining the running at this point in the competition. Now, another Bachelorette alum is joining the show and giving some exclusive details about Moynes’ reception.

Things get ‘heated’ on ‘The Bachelorette’

From time to time, The Bachelorette will have members of Bachelor Nation come on the show to host dates or give the lead advice. On this week’s episode, Wells Adams, Bachelor in Paradise bartender extraordinaire, joined the show to help Thurston out.

He led the guys in a game of The Bachelorette‘s Bash Ball, which was something in between rugby and basketball. Adams recently told People that the group date got “pretty intense.”

“Everyone was coming in a little heated and stressed out,” he said. “I think they let some of their aggression out on the date — maybe a little more than they really needed to.”

In order to lighten the mood after Moynes arrived and shook up the house, Adams had the men wear silly outfits during the game.

“I thought that dressing them up in stupid unitards would be a good sojourn from the serious nature of their experience thus far,” he said.

Which men did Wells like on ‘The Bachelorette’?

At the time of the game, a few men stood out to Adams, like Michael Allio and Connor Brennan.

“Personally, I liked Connor,” he said. “Connor and I talked for a long time. He was equal parts sweet guy and dork, and I really can relate to that. But they were all super nice guys.”

As far as the competition went, Adams thought Hunter Montgomery really brought it.

“Hunter, that little Tasmanian devil, did not disappoint,” Adams said. “He was lighting dudes up left and right. I was proud of him. I was like, ‘Yeah, man, go get your girl.’

Blake Moynes’ arrival

Viewers and Thurston were all skeptical of Moynes when he first arrived on the show. He had already dated Bachelorettes Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams. But when he crashed Thurston’s season, he said he was convinced that the two of them could have something real. After thinking it over and sending Thomas Jacobs home, Thurston decided to let Moynes join the competition. She surprised Moynes at his hotel after the rose ceremony to let him know the news.

“I had no idea if she was going to come to my room,” Moynes said on the Click Bait with Bachelor Nation podcast. “I had no idea what was going to happen. As it got late into the night I knew the rose ceremony had started, I thought I was good for the night. I had no idea. I just went to bed thinking, ‘Okay, this is another day, I have a whole ‘nother day before anything happens.’ So I think they knew that I was probably thinking that way, so they stirred the pot a little bit with having her show up in the middle of the night and catch me off guard.”
