These TV-inspired baby names are set to be big in 2021

We’ve been watching a lot of TV the past 12 months.

Mostly because, well, there’s not much else to do.

So it’s not surprising that experts reckon our viewing habits will have an impact on the baby names parents choose in the year ahead.

But what TV-themed names will pop up in 2021?

We don’t reckon there will be many Carole Baskins or Joe Exotics coming up soon, despite Tiger King being a key part of our lockdown TV-watching.

Instead, we’ll be looking to the big hits of Normal People, Sex Education, and The Crown.

The name Connell, which peaked in the 50s, is tipped to become super popular following the massive success of Normal People, while Maeve of Sex Education will be a top inspiration for girls’ names.

Beth, as in The Queen’s Gambit’s Beth Harmon, is also predicted to trend in the year ahead, and Diana, thanks to The Crown.
