Halo became the face of the page when her owners submitted a photograph of her to sister site WeRateDogs in 2016.

The adorable photograph shows Halo with a beaming smile on her face holding a slice of watermelon in her mouth. The curators of Thoughts of Dog said that the photograph of Halo was the inspiration behind much of the content published on the page.

A spokesperson said: “Obviously [her photo] is unique and entertaining thanks to the watermelon, but something about the pure bliss radiating from her expression felt perfect for an account attempting to capture the essence of dogs.
