Supermarket giant Aldi is renowned for its affordable beauty buys. From its Anastasia Beverly Hills lookalike palettes, to its bargain version of Sand & Sky’s famous clay mask, the store is infamous for offering luxury-for-less special buys.

Aldi has just launched another addition to their successful makeup range, Lacura Dream Big Bronzer £4.99 here – which beauty fans on TikTok are claiming is a “dupe” for Benefit’s popular Hoola Bronzer, £28 here.

We can see why TikTokers are drawing the comparison. Aldi’s latest launch comes in a similar shaped box, both featuring applicator brushes and mirrors. Despite the price difference, shoppers are also claiming it delivers an equally sunkissed glow.

One user @beautyglowgirl has been left hugely impressed after she put both versions to the test in a clip shared with her 121.2K followers.

Applying Benefit’s powder to one side of her face, and then Aldi’s price-friendly version on the other, the TikToker was surprised with the “similarity”.

Showing off the results, she says: “They were actually very similar. It’s a dupe from me.”

Shoppers have flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on the affordable powder, with one person claiming they even prefer it to the pricier version.

“I bought this too and prefer it to the Benefit one. Goes on so easily,” they write.

A makeup artist on the app named @creatingfacesbyshan also claims she “loves” the bargain bronzer, telling fans: “For £4.99 you can’t go wrong.”

“With this one it doesn't go muddy,” the MUA explains in her video. “With Hoola, I have noticed I can apply it once and it does go a little bit ashy, but this one ain’t.”

But it doesn’t stop there. The supermarket has also launched a new highlighter into range, which could be compared to Benefit’s Cookie Highlighter, £28 here.

The Lacura Show Up Highlighter, £4.99 here, again comes in a similar shaped box, with a brush included.

The same TikToker put the highlighter to the test, applying it to her cheekbones and eyelids before telling fans: “Wow, are we seeing that glow.”

Aldi’s brand new bronzing powder and highlighter are available to shop from selected stores, or online here – but you better be quick, we predict these will sell out fast.
