Wayfair launches Way Day sale with up to 80% off on homeware

WAYFAIR has launched a massive sale with up to 80% off furniture pieces and homeware.

The sale began today and is only running for 48 hours so you'll have to be quick to nab the bargain buys.

The sale has been dubbed Way Day by the retailer and the event is promoting money-off tons of items like sofas and bed frames as well as complete dining sets and fashionable chairs.

The sale ends at mightnight April 29 so you've only got about a day to claim the money-off.

All the products in the offer have a little red icon that declares it is a "Way Day pick" so you'll easily be able to spot what's been discounted.

A lot of the products will need assembling so you might have to brush up on your DIY skills before purchasing the bargain items – their cheap price means a home fitting isn't included.

But it is worth noting that just because something is on offer or part of a deal it doesn't necessarily make it a bargain, so it’s always best to shop around before you buy.

And you might have to factor in the delivery charges that Wayfair set which can start from £4.99.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you – so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

But if you pick an item in the sale that's over £40 then shipping is free.

We've made a list of some of the cheapest items you can nab in the Way Day sale so check out below to see what you could be saving.

Craigsville Single Bed Frame

  • Was: £59.99. Now: £44.99. Save: £15 (25%) – buy now

The three foot wide bed frame from Wayfair is the cheapest in it's sale and a simple metal design will be easy to pair in any bedroom.

There's an under-bed clearance of 33cm too so you'll be able to fit loads of storage underneath the structure.

But you can pick up a bed frame cheaper at Ikea if you go for the store's £30 option.

This one is a wooden structure instead, but you'll be making a saving £14.99 over the Wayfair option.

Middlebury 3 Seater Sofa Bed

  • Was: £162. Now: £129.99. Save: £32.01 (20%) – buy now

This faux leather sofa bed will seat three people and has a "click clack" design that stretches it out into the flat bed shape.

It comes in two colours but only the brown option is available from the site.

You might want to think twice before buying this one from Wayfair though as the exact same product is listed on The Range at a cheaper price.

The retailer has the same sofa in the black option for £109.99, so you could save a further £20 and get the version that's sold out on Wayfair.

Mistaya 2 Door Wardrobe

  • Was: £139.99 Now: £117.99 Save: £22 (16%) – buy now

The wardrobe is a slim size but still has double doors with metal handles, and it has an internal shelf and a hanging rail ideal for suits, dresses, jackets or any other clothing.

You can buy a very similar wardrobe from Argos nearly £40 cheaper.

The store's version of the simple wooden and two door storage unit is only £80 to buy, plus there are options of free collection too.

Palmeri Dining Set

  • Was: £112.50. Now: £81.99. Save: £59.51 (27%) – buy now

There are three pieces in this dining set, perfect as a kitchen breakfast bar, you'll get a table and two chairs for the bargain price.

The table height is 75cm and it's around 19kg.

B&M is selling a similar three piece set in-store that you can pick up for £45, so a new breakfast table could cost you £36.99 less from the retailer.

Simplistic Computer Desk

  • Was: £57.99. Now: £52.99. Save: £5 (9%) – buy now

This unit features a pull-out drawer for your keyboard and mouse in the exposed shelf style as well as a side shelf for any other office equipment, and ample space to sit your computer.

Ikea has a black simple desk for only £40, so you could save £12.99 with the flatpack option.

The cheaper version also includes a draw rather than the open look of Wayfair's, so if you're after a neater look then the bargain price might be your favourite.

Veranda Cocktail Chair

  • Was: £113.99. Now: £93.99. Save: £20 (18%) – buy now

This upholstered cocktail chair from Wayfair has a simplistic design but that doesn't mean it holds out on comfort.

The seat height of this chair is 41 inches and it will make a perfectly comfy place to kick back in your lounge or in a reading nook.

You can pick up a plush cocktail chair from Homebase for only two thirds of the price of Wayfair's though, as their velvet version is only £60.

Even without a matching ongoing sale, the chair at the DIY store is £33.99 cheaper than this one on offer.

For more discounted furniture, Very shoppers can bag some bargains in the retailer's current bank holiday sale as well as money-off HD TVs, Airpods and more.

And if you're after something more suited to the beauty section at a bargain price, then Boots is also currently running a sale with 70% off items.

And on the high street, Debenhams confirms final store closing dates ahead of a huge sale too.
