MCDONALD'S fans don't have long left to bag a prize by playing the fast food chain's version of Monopoly.
The competition returned this summer after a two year break during the pandemic – but it ends soon.
When does McDonald’s Monopoly end?
McDonald's Monopoly ends at 11.59 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
That means you've got just one week left to take part.
It launched on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, meaning it will have run for six weeks by the time it closes.
When is the cut off date for claiming McDonald's Monopoly prizes?
The competition usually takes place in spring, so the 2020 launch date was derailed by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The popular promotion was due to start shortly before McDonald's closed all 1,350 branches on March 23 because of the crisis.
It was then scheduled to go ahead in March this year, but was delayed until August due to ongoing lockdown restrictions.
Rather than reprint the game pieces, the chain has decided to repurpose them.
This means that Monopoly cards will appear to be expired, showing the original cut off date of May 4 2021.
However, prizes won in the online game must be claimed by October 5, and the last date to claim food prizes October 19.
You can claim non-food prizes until November 5.
How to play McDonald's Monopoly
McDonald's Monopoly works in a similar way to the classic boardgame.
Customers collect game pieces when they buy qualifying McDonald's products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.
You'll be able to find them as stickers which will appear on the packaging of your food.
Each piece represents a tile on the board which you can pick up for free in the restaurant or play along online.
When you collect a set, you get a prize, and there are also "instant wins" which allow you to claim your winnings immediately.
You can check out the full list of prizes up for grabs – and how many of each prize is available – in our McDonald's Monopoly explainer.
