A new series of Married At First Sight UK airs this evening – with 16 singletons lining up to find the love of their life.
The couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.
After the service and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test across more than 30 episodes as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other and their fellow couples.
But how have last year’s contestants fared in their quest for love – and have any of them stayed with partners they were put with during the Channel 4 reality TV show?
Here, FEMAIL looks at the couples who are still together – including Tayah and Adam, who are expecting their first child with one another, as well as what the participants are now up to – from modelling to working with a sex toy and wellness brand…
TAYAH AND ADAM
Love at first sight: Adam and Tayah committed to one another on Married At First Sight last year, although not legally, after he got down on one knee
Happy couple: The couple are now planning a special day to make their partnership official, although they have pushed back the date
Happy news: The couple, who met and tied the knot on Married At First Sight last year, are ecstatic to be having their first child
The pair said they were delighted to see the positive pregnancy test and they are excited to be pregnant at the same time as Adam’s cousin
Adam and Tayah committed to one another on Married At First Sight last year, although not legally, after he got down on one knee.
He said he wanted to profess his ‘undying’ love despite warnings from the other couples on the show they were moving too fast.
Asking Tayah to be his wife at the time, she cried: ‘You being serious?’ before saying, ‘you know I will.’ An emotional Adam said: ‘You’re making me cry now.’
In April 2022, Adam, 26, and Tayah, 25, announced they are expecting a little girl together and are ecstatic to be having their first child.
They told OK! magazine: ‘We’re so excited. And the thing is we weren’t even trying! It just happened. I can’t believe it. We’re obviously just very fertile.’
Adam added: ‘We both said we wanted to be young parents so we’re so happy it’s happened.’
The pair said they were delighted to see the positive pregnancy test and they are excited to be pregnant at the same time as Adam’s cousin.
They are now planning a special day to make their partnership official, although they have pushed back the date.
Adam said: ‘We’ve pushed it back to next year. We were going to get married on the date that both our parents got married so we were going to keep that tradition going, but now the baby is due around then so that can’t happen.
‘Otherwise Tayah would probably be going into labour walking down the aisle and be in the hospital in a wedding dress!’

Matt and Daniel made history when joining the programme as its first same-sex couple.
Daniel, who was then a salesman, said of the opportunity: ‘Married At First Sight UK is a big experience and quite nerve racking in many ways, however it is something that will allow me to shift my pattern in terms of relationships and it is a blessing to have the professional and scientific advice that will help me’.
He said he wanted to share his passion for hiking, meditation, cold water swims and vegetarian living with others.
Meanwhile, Matt admitted: ‘The reason I’ve come onto the show is because I’m really wanting to meet that special person that I can start building a life with and have a family. I’m really excited.’
Fans of the show were worried that the couple wouldn’t last – despite seemingly being perfect for each other – due to the distance of their hometowns, with Daniel living in Northern Ireland, and Matt being from West Yorkshire.
But it appears the two settled their differences and are still going strong – with Matt and Daniel appearing to be living together.
Daniel founded Wildbay Retreats and also teaches meditation to clients.
His website says: ‘Dan’s approach is experiential. By utilizing his wild surroundings to connect the body, mind and spirit, he awakens the soul through the senses and using nature’s tools to bring you back into align with your natural energy.’
