Wimbledon-approved dresses inspired by Kate Middleton starting from £12

Whilst Wimbledon provides plenty of on-court entertainment each year, it’s the fashion looks worn in the stands that we’re always swooning over. The annual tennis tournament gives attendees an excuse to dress up in their best outfits, but nobody serves up style quite like The Duchess of Cambridge.

From the muted pink Beulah London midi dress she wore to the men’s finals last year to the vibrant green Emilia Wickstead number she sported for the women’s awards ceremony, if you’re lucky enough to be heading to the tournament this year, you’ll want to take inspiration from Kate’s courtside looks.

Saying that, splashing out hundreds of pounds on a frock doesn’t suit everyone’s budget, so if you’d like to copy the Royal’s look for less, we’ve found some great alternatives that won’t break the bank.

L.K.Bennett Amor Pink Satin Crepe Crystal Belt Dress, £279 here

Okay, so perhaps this isn’t the most affordable option but if you have got the cash to splash, it’s a pretty great dupe for Kate’s Beulah London midi dress. Crafted from a pale pink satin crepe, with an embellished belt, it’s much cheaper than the Duchess’ original, but with a few added details.

Boden Full Skirt Jersey Midi Dress, £66 here

One of our favourite looks from Wimbledon last year was Kate’s green Emilia Wickstead dress. Originally £1,360 before it sold out, the pretty frock featured a pretty pleated skirt and a cinched-in waist – similar to this Boden number, which retails for a much more affordable price of £66.

H&M Light Dusky Green Wrap Dress, £12 here

If there’s one dress style The Duchess does well, it’s the wrap dress. To get Kate’s look for less this summer, make sure to pick up this H&M number. Featuring softly draped butterfly sleeves and a flared skirt, this stylish frock looks way more expensive than it actually is. What a bargain!

River Island Yellow Tie Waist Midi Shirt Dress, £45 here

With elegant puff sleeves and button-up detailing, we think the Duchess would love this sunshine yellow frock for summer. Perfect for garden parties, picnics and everything in between, to make it Wimbledon-worthy, simply pair with white strappy heels and a matching bag.

New Look Green Button Front Split Hem Midi Tea Dress, £27.99 here

Another budget-friendly dupe for Kate’s iconic green dress, this summer style is much more wearable, taking you from work days to picnics with friends. For Wimbledon, throw a white blazer over your shoulders and team with matching accessories.

Nobody’s Child Selena Midi Dress, £75 here

Whilst there’s no official dress code for Wimbledon, many attendees pull of their best floral frocks for the occasion, with sophisticated high-neck styles proving popular. To nail the courtside trend, we suggest picking up this gorgeous printed number from Nobody’s Child. With a pastel floral print, a floaty hemline and fluted sleeves, we think Kate would approve!

Marks & Spencer Satin Floral Round Neck Tea Dress, £49.50 here

Another fabulous floral frock we’re loving this summer is this satin number from Marks & Spencer. With vibrant blooms all over with short puff-sleeves, you’ll certainly win best-dressed if you sport this dress at Wimbledon.

Omnes Adelaide Midi Tea Dress, £59 here

If you prefer something a little more simple, this pastel blue dress is a great option for Wimbledon. Cinched in at the waist, with a soft A-line skirt, it’s a style you’ll wear all summer long. Pair with boots for the office or get wedding-ready with a pair of heels and elegant jewellery.

Marks & Spencer Satin Polka Dot Midaxi Tea Dress, £49.50 here

We can always count on M&S to deliver royally-amazing dresses and this polka dot number is no exception. Made from a smooth, satin material with trendy spots all over, we can see Kate donning this.

Zara Striped Linen Blend Dress, £49.99 here

When it comes to dressing for Wimbledon, stripes are always a winner in our eyes. Everyone from Sienna Miller to Meghan Markle have sported the trend in previous years, but to give your outfit a 2022 update, we suggest adding this belted shirt dress to your shopping basket!

Karen Millen Contrast Cotton Broderie Belted Midi Dress, £95.20 here

In a sea of ‘tennis whites’ and stripes, why not stand out from the crowd in this statement dress by Karen Millen. A summery take on monochrome, this broderie number features huge sleeves and a matching belt to show off your figure.
