A woman who claims she saw a crucified Jesus Christ in the pith of her clementine has called the discovery a divine sign that she was ‘doing the right thing’.
Jamie Thomas, 45, was mulling over a big move from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Catterick, North Yorkshire – which would see her get settled in, married, and begin a new job in the same week – when she got what she considered to be the message from above.
The mother-of-five was on her lunch break when she peeled away at her snack, only to see the outline of a ‘little man’ – who on a closer look seemed to be hanging from a cross – in the citrus.
She said the fruit find had helped her feel reassured in the mammoth decision.

A stunned Jamie quickly snapped an image of the freshly-peeled fruit and sent it to friends on Snapchat (pictured, the figure of Jesus within the orange)
Jamie met her 48-year-old husband Daniel when she was a teenager, but the pair, despite being ‘best friends’ for a long time didn’t start dating until 2014.
They were then in a long-distance relationship for around four years.
After travelling back and forth to visit each other Jamie ‘bit the bullet’ and decided to move to be with him in 2018.
The former special needs teaching assistant said that the ‘sweet’ discovery offered some reassurance during the ‘crazy’ time.

‘The two of us [a colleague] just laughed about it because we were like “that’s definitely a sign that I was doing the right thing”,’ she added.

Jamie said: ‘I was brought up in Northern Ireland and am in the Church of Ireland and I was religious growing up.
‘To be honest the older I got, I was starting to get a bit more religious again. I don’t go to church or anything but I believe in God.’
