TV presenter and former Love Island contestant Zara Mcdermott is a bonafide influencer when it comes to sharing her beauty secrets.
When she’s not sharing videos with boyfriend and former Made in Chelsea castmate Sam Thompson, Zara is sharing her must-have beauty buys with her 1.7 million Instagram followers.
The 26 year old influencer’s recent TikTok got fans extra excited when she revealed that amongst her high-end eight step beauty routine, there was one hero product that she swears by – and it costs just £15.30.
Whilst other products in her routine are from luxury brands like La Mer and Elemis, the influencer revealed the Escentual Eucerin SPF sun cream,£15.30 here, is one of her most valuable products.
Zara said: “The most important thing of my whole skincare routine is my SPF. I really love this one fromEucerin, it’s factor 50. When I was looking for an SPF, I didn’t want it to go white underneath my makeup or anything, but this one just literally feels like moisturiser. It doesn’t feel heavy at all."
SPF is essential in everyone’s daily skincare routine, whether you plan on being exposed to the sun or not. Harmful rays can affect skin even just from sitting by a window and can still damage the skin on a cloudy day.
Not only does using an SPF protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, but it also helps with the anti-ageing process too, as too much sun exposure can cause skin to age prematurely. The Escentual SPF contains a duo of antioxidant liquorice extract and glycyrrhetinic acid, which both work to support the skin’s own renewal process as well as fending off damaging free radicals like UV rays and pollution – essential for maintaining a fresh and youthful glow.
The Escentual SPF offers extremely high photostable defence and protects your complexion from the sun. According to the product's description: “The blend uses a highly-effective UVA/UVB filter system to shield skin from sunburn, sun-induced ageing and pigment spots.”
Good news for those of you with sensitive skin, too, as the SPF is specifically designed for those with dry, sensitive skin or atopic complexions, and promises to have a high tolerance on reactive skin, whilst also offering a soothing formula. The TV presenter also loves the product as it doesn’t leave white marks or a greasy residue, making it perfect for applying makeup over the top.
Zara explained in her video that the Eucerin SPF is the penultimate step in her daily skincare routine, and as both the most important and the most inexpensive, we’re sure beauty fans will be quick to snap it up.
