Alison Hammond made Kate Lawler go into labour with awkward babygro mishap

Kate Lawler has revealed Alison Hammond sparked her labour thanks to her present disaster.

Virgin Radio presenter Kate and her fiancé Martin – aka Boj – welcomed adorable Noa Daisy Ilse into the world earlier this month.

The former Big Brother beauty, 40, gave birth on February 11 but the arrival was full of complications.

The newborn had to be rushed to intensive care with "breathing difficulties" and needed oxygen for days after.

But now Kate has revealed what helped bring her labour on – or to be more exact, who.

Big Brother 2002 housemates Kate and Alison Hammond have stayed in touch after finding fame on the third series of the reality show.

Speaking ahead of new reality show Celebrity Bumps: Famous and Pregnant, Alison set her off after her well-meaning gift went wrong.

Kate told The Sun what it was that sparked it, explaining: "She bought me a babygro. She told me she was sending me a present and she said 'I hope you like it, it's for you'.

"But it said 'You're going to be the best daddy' instead of 'You're going to be the best mummy' on it.

"She admitted that she's not very good at ordering shopping. But the sentiment was nice. At least the baby can wear it and Boj can hold the baby."

They picked the name Noa Daisy Ilse for their new daughter and there are some very emotional reasons behind their selection.

Kate explained in a lengthy Instagram post: "We came across the name Noa after meeting Boj’s cousin’s wife when they came to visit from Israel a few years ago.

"It’s a popular female name over there and is pronounced just like the name Noah.

"Her middle name Daisy is a name we also both love and her other middle name Ilse was the name of Boj’s grandma.

"When we told Boj’s Mum we were having a girl, she told us Boj’s Grandma’s birthday was a couple of days before Noa’s due date.

"Ilse passed away on Boj’s 12th birthday and they were very close so this name means a lot to our family.

"Noa will take Boj’s last name which he doesn’t share online (the one bit of privacy he has left thanks to me)."
