Holly Hagan shares wedding dress drama that nearly ruined her dream day

Holly Hagan has revealed her wedding day was nearly 'ruined' after walking down the aisle in a corset gown.

The former Geordie Shore star tied the knot to professional footballer Jacob Blyth in Ibiza earlier this month, after having to postpone their nuptials twice due to COVID.

But while the ceremony on the sun-kissed island appeared to be the perfect day for the couple, it wasn't without some issues.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (June 28), Holly sat down to discuss all things wedding related with her fans during a Q+A session.

Asking the star for advice, one fan wrote: "How did you handle the heat in your dress? Renewing my vows in Tenerife."

Holly, who had three outfit changes over the course of the day, went on to reveal the trouble she experienced with her first dress – a figure-hugging white lace gown.

She responded: "I didn't. I took it off straight after the aisle, which I was sad about but it was going to ruin my day.

"It was DAMP when I took it off from sheer sweat. I would recommend a light floaty dress for abroad."

After tying the knot, Holly later changed into a flowing gown for the reception.

Her final outfit, a mini skirt and halterneck top, was worn in the evening.

Holly and Jacob recently exchanged vows in a stunning rooftop ceremony at the Aguas de Ibiza luxury hotel.

The pair were joined by 56 guests, as well as Geordie Shore castmates Charlotte Crosby, Sophie Kasaei and Nathan Henry.

However, Chloe Ferry was noticeably missing from the celebrations.

At the time, it was speculated that the former friends had fallen out after she refused to congratulate Holly on her big day on social media.

While addressing the rumours online, Holly explained: “Also if I'm asked why people aren’t at my wedding I'm going to answer the question honestly.

“There were 6 cast members invited out of about 30 but I can’t pick and choose what they choose to make a headline out of.

“Me not being close to certain cast members isn’t hard hitting drama it’s literally the same as you working in an office and not inviting the entire workplace to your small destination wedding.”

Holly added: “I invited the people I see and speak to regularly outside of filming. Does that mean I have drama with everyone I didn't invite? Of course it doesn’t.

“We have all just filmed the most incredible reunion show together and had the best time. I didn’t leave on bad terms with anyone. If anything it brought us all closer together.

“Articles were also written to make Chloe [Ferry] look bad saying she didn’t post anything about my wedding and completely ignored it.”
