AceShowbiz -A number of talented artists gathered at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey to attend the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Wearing their best outfits, the stars posed on the red carpet. Among those who turned heads at the Sunday, August 28 event were Taylor Swift, Chloe Bailey and Shenseea.

After three years, Taylor marked her return to the VMAs in a sparkling Oscar de la Renta dress covered in thousands of shimmering crystals. To complete her look, the “All Too Well” hitmaker wore matching chandelier-inspired Christian Louboutin heels as well as Lorraine Schwartz diamond drop earrings and rings.

Chloe, in the meantime, showed off her curves in a silver gown with a corseted bodice and a bold thigh-high slit. The Chloe x Halle member paired her outfit with several pieces of diamond jewelry, silver ankle-strap sandals and a matching rectangular clutch.

As for Shenseea, she stepped out in a unique Marc Jacobs SS22 outfit that seemed to be inspired by a Beyonce Knowles feature in Vogue. To match her eye-catching costume, the Jamaican dancehall artist wore a pair of white gloves and matching chunky heels.

BLACKPINK also did not disappoint. The South Korean girl group flaunted four different all-black looks as they made their debut at the VMAs. Lisa looked sophisticated in Celine, while Jisoo wore a timeless spaghetti-strap maxi dress. Jennie opted to go with a halter crop top and a matching maxi skirt while Rose wore a little dress.

Other musicians, meanwhile, opted to go for colorful looks. One in particular was Sabrina Carpenter, who donned a black halter-neck dress with allover sequins shaped like multicolored flowers. She accessorized it with diamond stud earrings and a black satin padded headband.

Lizzo was one of the celebrities who made a statement at the annual awards show. She arrived at the event by sporting a voluminous navy blue Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown that she paired with dramatic Lael Osness gloves and Jennifer Fisher jewels.

Not only the ladies, but the men shut down the red carpet with their looks, including Lil Nas X. The “MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)” hitmaker rocked an all-black ensemble by designer Harris Reed which featured high-waisted black pants and a giant headpiece. Speaking of his shirtless look, he said, “It is heavy and it is Harris Reed… It’s something fresh, something new, I feel amazing.”

Snoop Dogg kept it simple in green leather separates that he paired with colorful sneakers, while Offset sported a white suit. Dylan O’Brien, who stars in Taylor’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)” music video along with Sadie Sink, looked distinct in a patterned suit.
