DRAYTON Manor has revealed their new nautical-themed area which includes a number of soon-to-open rides and attractions.

Adventure Cove will feature the brand new ride River Rapids, where passengers can ride a nine-person boar through the water rapids.

Along the way, guests will experience a cartoon-style fishing port and beach shacks while battling the rapids.

Stormforce 10, a ride launched in association with the RNLI will also open as part of the land, while the Shockwave ride – the only stand-up rollercoaster with a. zero-gravity roll – will be getting a makeover.

The new land will open from spring, with new rides to be announced.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: "It’s especially exciting for us to the be able to launch the new Adventure Cove area, along with number of new rides and attractions for families and coaster fans alike. We look forward to welcoming guests back to enjoy a summer of fun and seafaring adventures at Drayton Manor Park.”



The theme park will be reopening from April 12 as lockdown restrictions allow outdoor attractions to open.

Tickets must be booked online however as the park will operate a reduced capacity, and there will be additional Covid measures in place.

These include:

  • Mandatory pre-booked tickets online
  • Temperature checks on entry
  • Mandatory face masks on guests over the aged 11 or over
  • Additional hygiene stations and hand sanitiser stations
  • Social distancing markers on the floor

There are a number of exciting new rides and attractions opening in the UK this year, after many were forced to delay their grand openings due to Covid.

Paultons Park is opening their 1950s Americana themed land this year, called Tornado Springs while Alton Towers has a new David Walliams themed attraction.

The new Gangsta Granny ride, based on the novels, will be opening this year too.

Chessington has announced a new ride called Croc Drop for 2021 too.
