EasyJet passengers can now get complimentary lounge access with free food and booze – here's how | The Sun

EASYJET passengers can get complimentary lounge access when at Gatwick Airport – and it comes with free food and booze.

The airline first opened the lounge – called The Gateway – in 2021 in the North Terminal.

However, easyJet passengers who book a FLEXI fare can now use the lounge without having to pay for it.

Anyone travelling between September 1 and November 30 with the FLEXI fares can take advantage of hot and cold drinks, including alcohol.

There is also a full buffet, as well as free WiFi, charging points and quiet zones.

If travelling with kids, there is a games room and TV den as well.

Why booking an airport lounge before your flight can SAVE you money

Ali Gayward, UK Country Manager for easyJet, said: "We are always looking for new ways to offer travellers more choice and great value, so we're delighted to have launched this trial, offering FLEXIfare customers travelling from London Gatwick access to The Gateway Lounge between now and November, in addition to the great range of extras our customers enjoy when they book a FLEXIfare."

Don't fancy paying for a FLEXI fare? you can enter the lounge for £18.99 instead.

Customers can choose between one, two and three-hour packages and book access on the day of travel at parking.easyjet.com/easyjet-lounges.

The project is a collaboration between easyJet and No1 Lounges, who already run lounges at several UK airports.

Another new lounge has opened at Gatwick Airport and access is free – but it's not open to everybody.

The exclusive 'Roam Freely' lounge offers complimentary drinks and snacks alongside comfortable seating so travellers can relax before boarding the plane.

In order to be allowed in, passengers must be either O2 or Virgin Media customers and must book ahead.

A recent study found that Brits spend so much on food and booze before flying, that a lounge actually works out to be cheaper.

According to Holiday Extras, a family of four spends an average of £100 on pre-flight snacks and meals.

However, some lounges start from just £15 per person, while kids start from just £9.
