Inside the new £24m Game of Thrones Studio Tour attraction opening in the UK next year

JOURNEY to Westeros and go behind the scenes of the well-loved Game of Thrones series at the new £24m attraction opening next year.

The Game of Thrones Studio Tour is set to open on February 4, 2022 and will give fans the chance to see sets, props and costumes up close.

Based on the iconic book series and TV show, the brand new 110,000 square foot attraction will teach visitors more about the Game of Thrones universe.

Visitors will begin their journey at Castle Black and head to the home of House Stark at Winterfell.

They will then walk through the Hall of Faces to the Crypt of Winterfell before ending up at Kings Landing.

Guests can also see Daenerys Targaryen's Dragonstone throne and step inside the Great Hall where Jon Snow was declared King in the North along the way.

Super fans will even be able to learn the industry secrets behind the special effects that created fire-breathing dragons, armies of the dead and epic battles.

You can also test your own acting skills in an interactive green screen experience.

The attraction has been created at the original filming location for the series at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland.

The studio has been off-limits to members of the public for years, but fans will soon be able to step foot into the Game of Thrones world.

Executive directors at the studios said: "After many years as a closed and 'off limits' film studio, it is now time for fans from across the world to step inside the Seven Kingdoms and make their own personal journey through the world of Westeros at Linen Mill Studios."

Two on-site cafes will give fans a chance to rest and refuel as they make their way along the tour.

Tickets are on sale now from £39.50 for adults, although there are cheaper options for kids, students and seniors.

Kids under four go free and there are options to add coach transfers from Belfast and Dublin.

Here are some of the best Game of Thrones filming locations around the world, from Spain and Croatia to Iceland.

Other film fans can head to London next year too, with a new Harry Potter attraction opening at Warner Bros Studio Tour.
