TikTok slams female passenger for petty fight over plane window being open

A TIKTOK video appeared to catch two passengers fighting over the plane window blind during a flight – with many blaming the woman for being petty.

Will Mantley, who claimed to be the man in front, spotted the video which was filmed by the woman, then posted his own story of what happened.

In the video, the woman is sitting behind Will and asks him to put his window down so she could sleep, despite it being his window.

The woman asks: "Can you just keep it shut please?” when Will has it up, who replies: "I want it up. I like to see where we’re going."

The woman not only calls the flight attendant over, but brands it "assault" when he bats her hands away when she closes his window.

She also calls him "childish" and claims "you don't own this plane."

However, Will simply responds: "I'll be here all day."

The video has had more than 21m views, with Will addressing the issue on his platform.

He explained that the flight attendant eventually came over and offered the woman an eye mask, who refused as she "didn't like the feel of them" before she was moved to the back of the plane.

He also said that the flight attendant apologised for the incident.

Social media users were in agreement that the woman was in the wrong.

One person wrote: "That's your window, you paid for that seat. I think you handled this in the best way possible."

Another person added: "That person is a Karen."

However, since the viral video was posted, the woman who actually took the video has revealed it was a prank, and that Will wasn't even the man in front as it was actually her brother.

Adley, who runs her own prank show The Adley Show, told her 526,000 followers that the video "was a fake".

She added: "We make content for a living and this was a staged video I did with my brother last month."

However, despite being called a Karen in her comments, she didn't appear too mad about it, saying: "Props to you Will, no hard feelings for you."

It isn't the first time a fight has broken out on a plane over the window being down.

In 2017, two passengers had a similar row with them each putting the blind up and down.

Plane windows must be up during take off and landing in case of an emergency landing.
