TUI to resume holidays to Spain, Greece and the Caribbean this month

TUI is resuming many of their holidays to Spain and Greece this month, along with long-haul destinations including Jamaica.

The tour operator was forced to cancel the majority of their flights due to travel restrictions.

However, as fully vaccinated Brits can now travel to amber list destinations without having to quarantine, holidaymakers can now visit most of Europe.

TUI has confirmed that the following trips will go ahead:

  • Cyprus and Jamaica (from July 22)
  • Morocco and Skiathos (from July 23)
  • Alicante and Fuerteventura (from July 24)
  • Kefalonia and Malaga (from July 25)
  • Crete and La Pala (from July 27)

TUI will also launch new flights and holidays to green list destinations including Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia, starting from August 1.

While holidays to Bulgaria hope to go ahead, the country has since banned UK travellers.

Brits are advised to check the entry restrictions before travelling to a country, and unvaxxed travellers must still quarantine when returning from amber countries.

Many destinations are still being cancelled, including Greek islands Santorini, all of mainland Spain excluding Alicante and Malaga, as well as Italy and Morocco.

Long haul holidays including Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia are still cancelled until at least August 15.

TUI confirmed that they are not offering holidays to any red list destinations, or any that require a quarantine on arrival.

They added: "If we need to cancel holidays because of updated government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice."

Families who have their holidays cancelled can get a full refund, or change to a later date with a booking incentive.
