Will Israel be on the green list for Sumer holidays?

If a country is on the green list, Brits can travel there and back without the worry of quarantining, but you will need a negative Covid test result to enter the UK on your return.

The green list will be revealed later today at 5pm and some parts of Israel are likely to be included as it has had the highest roll-out in vaccinations.

As of May 5, 63% of Israel's population have been vaccinated.

Gov UK have said the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office no longer advise against all but essential travel to Israel.

However, some parts of the country are still under amber and red status.

Israel entry requirements for green areas are:

  • Complete an entry form
  • Temperature checks at the airport upon arrival
  • You might be selected for random Covid testing

Things could change and if you're planning on travelling to Israel this summer, check the green list tonight after Transport Secretary Grant Shapps' announcement.

What are the travel restrictions for Israel?

Israel is living with nearly no restrictions since their successful vaccine programme, with families being able to see each other again and schools back open.

With only 3% of those tested being infected, Israel is set to welcome back tourists.

Nothing has been mentioned yet about needing a vaccine passport to enter Israel, unlike countries such as Greece.
