Are Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Aldi open? Christmas bank holiday opening times revealed | The Sun

BANK holiday shoppers may be wondering what time supermarkets are open over the Christmas period.

Most retailers will be closed for certain days in order to give staff some much-needed time off.

Christmas Day falls on a Sunday in 2022, which means there's an extra bank holiday on the following Tuesday, December 27.

This is as well as the usual Boxing Day bank holiday on Monday, December 26.

There will also be an added bank holiday on January 2, 2023 due to New Year's Day falling on a Sunday.

Opening hours can vary from branch to branch, so check your local store times before you make the trip.
