Inside the BAFTAs lavish eco-friendly goodie bag, from gift cards to Champagne

The BAFTAs took place tonight, and it was a fantastic evening of glamour and awards.

The 75th BAFTA Television Awards took place live from the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Famous TV faces such as And and Dec, Alison Hammond, Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan stunned as they walked the red carpet.

But what we really want to know is what was inside the goodie bag! Let's take a look…

What's inside the BAFTA goodie bag?

The BAFTAs went carbon neutral back in 2020, and aspects of the goodie bag have followed suit.

The celebs will get a number of environmentally friendly gift cards for premium partner brands of the event, and these are given to them in a bespoke high-end cross-body phone bag, created from 11 recycled plastic bottles.

Other fantastic treats to enjoy include a bottle of Taittinger Champagne, some makeup, and a bottle of special San Pellegrino.

In the past stars attending have also been gifted colouring books, sweets, a Champagne stopper and bottle of white wine inside their bag.

The bags are also known to boast fake tan, scented candles and delicious chocolates too, and we're sure no expense is spared!

The goodie bags aren't believed to be as pricey as the lavish Oscars' £110,000 gift bag, but they still house some very impressive take-homes.

This year's ceremony say Coronation Street taking home the gong for best soap.

The ITV soap went up against Casualty, Emmerdale and Holby City in the coveted category.

Corrie stars Sally Dynevor and Charlie de Melo, who play Sally Metcalfe and Imran Habeeb on the ITV soap, took to the stage to accept the gong.

During the winner's speech, Sally paid tribute to campaigner Sylvia Lancaster following her passing last month.

Sylvia was the mother of Sophie Lancaster, who was murdered after she and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were targeted for being goths.

Since her daughter's passing in 2007, aged 20, Sylvia has spent the last fifteen years campaigning to create education programmes to combat prejudice and intolerance against those from alternative subcultures. She was given an OBE in 2014 for her efforts.

Last year, Coronation Street tackled the issue of hate crime during one of its storylines that had many similarities to what happened to Sophie.
