Love Island girls prepped their skin for the final with this £4 glow-boosting serum

The Love Island final took place last night and we’ve woken up this morning feeling like it’s the end of an era. For eight weeks we’ve watched the Islanders evolve in love and looks, and now we have a massive 9pm void to fill.

As a parting present to us, Boots – Love Island’s beauty sponsor – has let us in on some of the finale beauty secrets, including the bargain £4 serum that the girls used to prep their skin ahead of having their makeup applied.

From moisturising body balms to refreshing cleansers and soothing face masks, the Islanders were given everything they needed last night to get final ready – and now we can join in on the fun.

For those of us at home, the four products that made up the girls’ pamper kits are currently on sale for 30% off at Boots.com when you use the code VILLAFAVES – perfect for anyone wanting to snap up the exact products the Islanders used.

The four products include Boots Glow Essence Serum, £4 here – a glow-boosting bargain that already has hundreds of gushing reviews – Liz Earle Skin Replenishing Body Balm, £23 here, Champneys Treatments Cooling Eye Gel Masks, £12 here, and Boots Glow Banana Brightening Mask, £4 here. Remember, if you use the special code before midnight tonight then you can get these steals for even less.

The girls and their spa day aren’t the only memorable beauty moments to come from last night’s closing episode. Winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu also stole the show with her hair look which saw her swap her trademark nineties blow-out for a modern crimped texture. The look feels like a modern take on crimping – much softer and with wider waves than the original deal back in the nineties.

Hairdresser Ryan Steedman, artistic director at Adam Reed London, was the man behind Ekin’s hair for the grand finale. And while he hasn’t confirmed the exact tools used on the bombshell for her perfectly waved hair, some kind of wand or waver tool was clearly involved.

Gemma Owen also swapped her signature sleek bun for something a bit more bombshell-like last night, choosing to wear her dark hair down in soft and glamorous waves.

As for Tasha Ghouri, she did the exact opposite and swapped her usual waves for a sleek bun. Finally, Indiyah Polack served us the exact look we wanted from her: her high ponytail updo. You can’t improve on a classic, right?
