Neighbours star reveals if she will return as Dee Bliss and evil Andrea

Madeleine West has weighed in on the possibility of her staging a Neighbours comeback following the show’s revival at Amazon Freevee.

The beloved Aussie soap, which was controversially axed by Channel 5 last year, was rescued by Freevee a number of months after its critically-acclaimed grand ‘finale’ aired, with brand new episodes set to drop in the second half of this year.

Madeleine, who played Dee Bliss and later her devilish twin sister Andrea ‘Fake Dee’ Somers, has discussed a potential return, revealing that’s she’d most certainly be up for it.

‘Look, I’m putting it out there, but if the opportunity was there I’d love to [come back],’ the soap star said on talk show Studio 10.

“I didn’t have the opportunity to take part in the finale [because] I was doing the Predatory podcast, which took quite a toll. I didn’t get a chance to come back and wrap up [Dee and Andrea].

“So if the opportunity is there, I’m on Ten, I’d be there in a heartbeat!”

A number of familiar faces are already lined up to return to Ramsay Street, including Jackie Woodburne, Alan Fletcher, Ryan Moloney and Stefan Dennis, who play Susan Kennedy, Karl Kennedy, Toadie Rebecchi and Paul Robinson respectively.

What’s more, Annie Jones, who played Jane ‘Plain Jane Superbrain’ Harris, will reprise her iconic role, as will Rebekah Elmaloglou (Terese Willis), Georgie Stone (Mackenzie Hargreaves), and Tim Kano (Leo Tanaka), who are all series regulars.

Production on the new season is set to commence in April, after the cast completely the UK Celebration tour, which kicked off earlier this week in Belfast, which Metro.co.uk was lucky enough to attend.

New episodes of Neighbours will premiere later in the year, but if you can’t wait for that then you can stream hundreds of classic episodes on Amazon Freevee right now.

Neighbours returns to screens on Amazon Freevee later this year, with hundreds of classic episodes already available to stream.
