At the beginning of 2020 Love Island lovers Olivia and Alex Bowen moved into a palatial property in Essex.
However, the loved up duo instantly set about renovating the £1 million mansion, making drastic and enviable improvements.
And their hard work has most definitely paid off as they recently shared the before and after transformation of the hallway and it looks incredible.

Posting on their The Bowen Home Instagram page, in the before shot we can see the large entrance to the home was relatively old fashioned, with stone floors, wooden stairs and cream walls.
The happy couple have since transformed it into a sleek space, with parquet flooring and the stairs have been painted white.
The walls are are painted a warming beige colour, and have white wooden coving on the lower half.
The space looks very light and airy compared with the before shot and they have a houseplant on a stand as one of the first things you see when you enter their home.
Olivia wrote in the caption: "We’ve nearly lived in this house for a year & I can’t believe where the time has gone, I still very clearly remember the feeling when we moved in – just the happiest."

The home is particularly special to Olivia as she has had her eye on it since she was a child.
She previously told OK! : "This house has been here for 17 years. When I was younger, my mum used to drive me past it and we’d say, 'Imagine living in that house'.
"She came with us to the viewing, and we were all a bit gobsmacked.

"I remember walking into the bedroom and crying. When I cry I know that it means something. It felt like fate.
"We fell in love with it, and six months later we were in the house."
Alex then added: "I really didn’t want to move, then when Liv and I went to see the house I said, “Okay, let’s do it.” It was the same feeling I had when we went to see our wedding venue for the first time."
