Recreate hotel-style luxury in your own bedroom with these top tips

DREAMS of fabulous hotel rooms in sunny foreign climes may not come true for many this summer.

But that does not mean you cannot enjoy some hotel-quality kip in your bedroom at home, by making it just a little bit more luxe. Here are some ideas that will not leave you sleepless with money worries . . .

PREMIER PILLOWS: Premier Inn bedding is quite the thing at the moment?TikTokkers on social media have been going wild for the hotel chain’s comfy pillows. The good news is you can replicate the experience at home because you can now buy the exact pillows and bedding found in the popular hotel rooms. A set of two pillows costs £30, whilst a 10.5-tog double duvet is £35 — but if you buy a bundle of both for £58.50, you are saving ten per cent.

RELAX AT DUSK: When it comes to bed linen that feels luxurious but does not break the bank, I am a big fan of Dusk.com. The online store offers crisp, 100-per-cent cotton duvet and pillow covers at reasonable prices — and there is a summer sale on, with an extra ten per cent off orders over £50. I love the 400-thread Mayfair Duvet Cover, now £45 for a double, down from £75 — and if you buy the whole set, you will qualify for that extra discount too.

THROW IN A THROW: For a real hotel finish, you will want to find yourself a bed throw or runner. The Crompton Runner Throw, now £25.99 at Dunelm, looks just like those found in plush hotel rooms and is usually £60. Plus, there are a few, with opened packaging, in the Clearance section for less. Pay from just £13 if you are quick.

DON’T FORGET THE ROBE: One of the best parts of a stay away is the fluffy dressing gowns many hotel rooms have. Get an extra-large one for home and enjoy a proper chill-out. The Super Soft Cosy Robe at christy.co.uk looks just like a hotel treat and is down from £70 to £35. But I found similar by Musbury, on Amazon.co.uk, for £19.95.
