There goes the neighborhood?

Vin Diesel’s next-door neighbor is up in arms about the star’s large security team, claiming the guards’ presence in their private gated community is “abusive” and “absurd,” according to a report.

“For a few weeks I have personally witnessed and heard from fellow homeowners the unprecedented and abusive display of your security people around our homes and beach,” the neighbor wrote in a letter to Diesel obtained by TMZ. “Interrogating us, blocking our street with five or six SUV’s. Stopping residents while walking when you ride your bicycle.”

The 53-year-old is renting a pad in the Dominican Republic located in “a community where no one is a threat to you, or anyone else that visits us,” the letter states.

“… We are used to [seeing] many celebrities like yourself but who have not imposed their own personal and arbitrary rules while violating the peaceful enjoyment of us, homeowners and our guests while we are here,” the neighbor wrote.

The New York-bred neighbor fired off the note after Diesel’s security team allegedly “blocked pedestrians and traffic” so the actor and his children could ride their bikes on Easter, according to TMZ. He has three kids, ranging in age from 6 years old to 13, with wife Paloma Jiménez.

But a source close to the action star explained that day’s extra security TMZ as necessary because his family was present. He and the kids were handing out Easter baskets to workers in the community, the source added.

In general, the “Fast & Furious” star never meant to “inconvenience” the neighbors and has gotten along well with locals during his 20 years of visits to the Dominican Republic, the source said.

The source also noted that the security guards are Dominicans, a move Diesel made to employ people in the area, the source noted.

Page Six has reached out to a rep for Diesel.
