Megan Thee Stallion Has a Strong Message Amid Label Feud Ahead of New Album

The Hot Girl Summer makes use of her Twitter account to lament over album release issues amid her contract dispute with her label 1501 Certified Entertainment and its CEO Carl Crawford.

AceShowbizMegan Thee Stallion‘s contract dispute with her label 1501 Certified Entertainment has yet to end. Ahead of the release of her new album, the Hot Girl Summer makes use of her Twitter account to lament over album release issues amid their feud.

“Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label, all these games and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful,” she wrote on the blue bird app on Wednesday, August 10.

The Houston star later expressed her gratitude to her fans who are also known as Hotties. “Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the bulls**t WE ALMOST OUT [clap emoji] LETS STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP,” so she said.

The tweet arrived after a reported false announcement and updates regarding her album were shared. In a separate tweet, the Grammy-winning raptress assured fans, “Last thing lol just wait for ME to announce so at least WE can be excited together. Love you hotties good night.”

Last week, Megan launched into a public rant after her label 1501 Certified Entertainment allegedly leaked her music. “I can’t catch a break my label hate me and my s**t always leak [crying emoji] at this point invite the hotties to the studio and shoots,” the “WAP” hitmaker wrote on Instagram Story. She then turned to Twitter to voice her frustration.

“Why continue to choose peace when everyone else choosing violence??? [thinking emoji],” the 27-year-old femcee penned. She added in a follow-up tweet, “Lol I got money I PAY FOR ALOT OF MY OWNNNN S**TTTTT I’ll start from scratch bc I’m a mf hustler BABYYYY.”

The legal drama between Megan and Carl Crawford, 1501 Certified Entertainment’s CEO, was intensified after the latter filed a new lawsuit against Megan, who filed a lawsuit against him and the label in 2020, in March. The new suit was about Megan’s mixtape “Something for the Hotties”, a project that was allegedly supposed to be her final album with the label. Crawl argued that the record isn’t a full album, meaning that Megan hasn’t fully fulfilled her contract with the label.

Clapping back at Carl, Megan alleged that when her team asked for an expense report, he added his jewelry to the list. She further claimed that Carl complained that she isn’t making him money but decided to countersue her wanting more money. “First the man over my label said I don’t make him any money … now he counter suing trying to keep me on his label because he wants to make more money lol if I ain’t making you no money why not just drop me?” she wrote.

In response to that, Carl wrote on Instagram, “Stop playing the victim @theestallion u haven’t paid for 1 show since 2019 [angry censored emoji] hiding behind #Rocnation.” He continued, “U can keep that bulls**t a** mix tape and send over that straight drop whenever u ready.”

To that, Megan retorted, “Carl you got a wholeeee contact with 300 and talking s**t to me like I got yo f**king money! You are ATTACKING ME ..why? Bc you want to be FAMOUS NOT RICH. Ask KEVIN LILES WHERE YO MONEY AT STUPID.”
